There is mainly one type of grinder you will need for your

car restoration and that is an angle grinder

this will be what you will use for the majority of cleaning back to the good stuff ready to attach new steel. There are other grinders that will be of use such as mini air ginder

or die grinder for getting into those little awkward corners.
