Welder

There are a number of welding tools available but i think that the easiest and cheapest welder to use is the mig. Their is numerous sizes and model to choose all depending on what you want to use it for. Car restoration does'nt need a particually big heavy duty one a small 100amp would be sufficient but i would recomend 130amp or bigger then should you need to weld anything thicker you can plus if you use co2 gas rather then argon a little extra power helps.

Welding mask

Remember you will need a welding mask for your car restoration these are a must and there are a couple of types ready tinted you can only see once you start to weld and the auto darkening type that tints as you weld this is by far the easiest to use as you can see what your doing before you start and dont have to drop mask before you start.Their are plenty available at very good prices.

Gloves

I would reccomend welding gloves or guantlets to use while doing your car restoration as welding burns hurt. Their are loads available at various prices.
